CLDC utilizes Creative Curriculum and Foundations to meet individual and collective needs. The curriculum focuses on developmental milestones for each development level and capability. Each monthly unit is broken down into weekly themes that help children learn and explore with exciting activities. Each activity consists of instruction, guided and independent practice, exploration, and social skills. Throughout, the week our preschool, pre-k, and school-agers will use technology for further exploration in each selected theme. Each unit will introduce different community helpers: Firefighters, Police Office, Military, Medical/Dental, Librarian, Postal Service, etc… Students will be given assessments every quarter ensuring children are meeting new milestones. Children will be assessed on developmental skills known predictors of success in school and throughout life. The following skills include:
Physical Health and Wellness Development
Arts & Creative Expression
Cognitive/Language and Intellectual Growth
Social and Emotional Growth
Small and Large Motor Skills
Each child is unique in his and her way requiring different methods to help them grow and shine. We welcome diversity in every classroom; learning and understanding various culture will help enrich our children’s real life learning experience.
